Weather in KP likely to be hot, humid: Met Office

PESHAWAR, Jul 24 (APP):Weather is likely to remain hot and humid in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, an official of the Meteorological Department said here Wednesday.
Giving details about weather, the official said that plains and southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would remain under the grip of intense heat.
Chance of rain in Chitral, Lower and Upper Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Torghar, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Buner, Bajaur, Malakand, the official of the Meteorological Department said.
He disclosed that chances of light rain in the evening in nine cities of all across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Charsadda, Mohmand, Khyber, and Peshawar.
The minimum temperature of Peshawar city is 30 degrees, while the maximum temperature is likely to reach 38 degrees Celsius, the official of the Meteorological Department said.
The humidity in the air in Peshawar is a record 67 percent and the highest temperature in Dera Ismail Khan is 42 centigrade recorded with 21 mm rain recorded in Bajaur during the last 20 hours, Meteorological Department official said.
The rain recorded in Balakot 17, Malam Jabba 7, Saidu Sharif 4 and 2 mm rain recorded in Buner, the official of the Department of Meteorology said.
