ISLAMABAD, Apr 12 (APP): Aggrieved at the current state of affairs of Pakistan cricket, erstwhile quickie Muhammad Zahid feels former national stars should come forward to rescue the game in the country.

Zahid said the ex-cricketers should go to smaller cities and train young players. Speaking about the coach for the national team, Zahid said Dean Jones’s name has been floating around for the job but I don’t think he has the ability to manage Pakistan cricket.

“I know the names of Aaqib Javed and Mohsin Khan have been mentioned but my opinion is that many ex-players feel that if they hang-around long enough, they will be able to get a cushy job with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as a coach for the national team.
