ISLAMABAD, April 15 (APP): Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday offered former Captain and current Afghanistan team coach Inzamam -ul-Haque the position of the Chief Selector.

According to a private news channel, PCB has extended an offer to the Multan-born batsman in order to revive the game in the country.

The PCB Chairman Shahryar Khan wants to raise the current national team’s standard at least on the level of the 90s when Pakistan won their only World Cup in 1992 under Imran Khan’s leadership, clinched the three-Test series 2-0 on the tour of England and then finished runners-up in the same country in the 1999 World Cup.
