The Suthra Punjab Agency Lahore (SPAL) on Wednesday made special cleanliness arrangements in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) celebrations and religious gatherings held throughout the city.

LAHORE, Aug 26 (APP): The Suthra Punjab Agency Lahore (SPAL) on Wednesday made special cleanliness arrangements in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) celebrations and religious gatherings held throughout the city.
Lahore Waste Management Company Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sheryar Arif Khan remained actively engaged in the field to ensure exemplary sanitation facilities.
He visited several areas of the Walled City, including Delhi Gate, Wazir Khan Mosque, Sunehri Mosque, Talab Wali Gali and inspected cleanliness arrangements along the routes of the main processions.
Sheryar Arif Khan appreciated sanitary workers deployed on procession routes and distributed sweets among the staff to mark the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of our beloved Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
More than 2,300 SPAL workers and officers were deployed across the city to ensure special cleanliness arrangements around processions and major Jamia mosques.
On the instructions of CEO, procession routes and important roads were decorated with lime, while staff remained deployed for sprinkling rose scented water along the routes of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) processions.
As part of the special cleanliness plan, the cleaning and washing of more than 1,500 Jamia mosques across Lahore was completed before 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal. Special teams also remained present at Milad gatherings and religious congregations to ensure the timely clearance of waste.
Special cleanliness operations were carried out before and after celebrations at Milad Chowk, Circular Road, Sunehri Mosque, Bhati Gate, Delhi Gate, the Walled City and Data Darbar, besides other parts of Lahore.
Additional sanitation arrangements were also ensured on Mall Road, Jail Road, near the District Courts, Islam Pura, Sanda and Outfall Road.
Additional waste containers were installed along procession routes and near major mosques to facilitate effective waste collection during the celebrations.
Sheryar Arif Khan said that under Punjab Chief Minister (CM), Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision of “Suthra Punjab”, teams remained committed to providing citizens with a clean and hygienic environment on every occasion and religious festival.
