RAWALPINDI, Feb 28 (APP): Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Sunday visited Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Peshawar and enquired about well-being of soldier of Afghan National Army (ANA). ANA soldier Alam Zeb was evacuated from Bajaur on February 25 in injured condition (head injury) by Pakistan Army and was admitted to CMH Peshawar, Director General ISPR Lt. Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa tweeted.

WASHINGTON, Feb 27 (APP): Terrorism is a threat to both Pakistan and India and their cooperation in fighting the menace is helpful to the region, a State Department spokesman said on Friday. Responding to a question at a regular briefing about cooperation between the two countries, especially in dealing with terrorist incidents, spokesman Mark Toner said that the United States had been very vocal in the past in encouraging greater cooperation between India and Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD, Feb 27 (APP):Minister for Planning, Reforms and Development Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday said the Pakistan government and the United States are discussing ways and means to getting 10,000 Pakistani Ph.D students trained in American universities. ISLAMABAD, Feb 26 (APP): A meeting chaired by Finance Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar here on Friday reviewed financial matters regarding rehabilitation of Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) and also discussed the funding requirements in this regard in future. ISLAMABAD, Feb 25 (APP): The BISP Board on Thursday was informed that BISP was ready to update National Socio Economic Registry (NSER) and the task would be carried out in two phases. Minister of State and Chairperson BISP, MNA Marvi Memon chaired 25th meeting of BISP Board at BISP Secretariat, said a press release issued here. The management of the BISP further briefed the Board members that in phase 1, survey in 16 districts throughout the country, including AJK, GB and FATA will be initiated from June 2016.
