SARGODHA, Apr 12 (APP): Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha said on Tuesday that Panama Leaks were a conspiracy against China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Addressing the upgradation ceremony of Govt Girls Middle School to the level of High standard at Chak 85-SB, Tehsil Kot Momin, he said the whole world was laughing at the childish talks of PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

Ranjha said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, the provincial government was spending billions of rupees for establishing new educational institutions and provision of missing facilities in schools and colleges of the province.

ISLAMABAD, Apr 12 (APP): Lapo Pistelli, Vice President of ENI (Former Deputy Foreign Minister of Italy), along with Stefano Pontecorvo, Ambassador of Italy called on Minister for Water and Power Khwaja Muhammad Asif here in his office.

Areas of mutual interest and cooperation in the field of energy sector and infrastructure development came under discussion during the meeting, said press release issued on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that there was a great potential in Pakistan in the field of energy, trade, scientific and technological development which need to be exploited.

ISLAMABAD, Apr 12 (APP): Commander 10 Corps Lieutenant General, Malik Zafar Iqbal Tuesday visited rain and landslide affected areas of Gilgit Baltistan (GB)and presented donation of five truck-load of food items by Pakistan Army to the Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan.

A high level meeting to overview the losses occurred following recent heavy rains and landslides in the area was held at Gilgit, an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) news update here stated.  The meeting reviewed relief activities in detail.

The moot attended by the provincial Chief Minister, Governor, Corps Commander, Chief Secretary GB, Commander FCNA and IG Police GB discussed issues of food shortage, blockage of important road links including Karakoram highway and future strategy.

ISLAMABAD, Apr 12 (APP): Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary Tuesday said that government was working on improving standard of education.

Addressing a workshop for training of Master Trainers on Assessment as a chief guest organized by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Islamabad (FBISE), the minister said that Prime Minister, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was paying special attention to promote education sector.

He said that educational institutions of the Federal Capital were being developed as a role model for the entire country following vision of the prime minister.

ISLAMABAD, Apr 12 (APP): Academicians and experts at an international conference held here Tuesday at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) called for developing research-based indigenous mechanism to overcome energy and environment-related-issues.

They also underlined the need of initiating dialogue process at
relevant forums and strengthening international collaboration to address socio-economic issues. For sustainable development, environment-related issues much be kept in view, they added.

The conference was a follow-up of 21st UN Climate change conference recently held in Paris that was attended by top World leaders including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

MIRPUR (AJK), Apr 12 (APP): AJK government has focused on raising literacy rate by encouraging higher education and established six universities,three medical colleges and approved package for higher education.

This was stated by AJK Prime Minister Abdul Majeed Ch while talking to  media here late Monday.

The AJK Premier said that “we constructed dual carriage roads and foundation stones of international Islamic University like “Jamea Al Azhar” and Military College would be laid dawn next month”.
