Zero investment made in energy sector from 1999 to 2013; PML-N Govt invests billions: PM

ISLAMABAD, Apr 26 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Tuesday said the PML-N government has invested billions of rupees in the energy projects and by the end of its tenure not only load shedding will be curtailed but also cheap electricity will be made available to the consumers.
He pointed out that from 1999 to 2013 zero investment
was made in the energy sector of Pakistan due to which the
exceeding demand of electricity resulted in load shedding upto eighteen hours a day.
The Prime Minister, while chairing a meeting to review
the progress on power projects here at the PM House, said that completion of energy projects will also give boost to economy of Pakistan and will lead to generation of employment and increased national output.
