ISLAMABAD, Feb 8 (APP):The remains of Pakistan’s iconic actress Roohi Bano, who passed away at a hospital in Istanbul on January 25, would be transferred to Pakistan as per the wishes of her family only when advised by the Turkish health authorities.Pakistan Embassy in Ankara and Pakistan Consulate General in Istanbul were in constant touch with the relatives of late Roohi Bano for transferring her remains to the homeland, a message received here from Pakistan Embassy on Friday said.
However, as per health experts and keeping in view the body’s final resting place, the decomposition might take two to four months. Late Roohi Bano was buried at a graveyard in Istanbul as per doctors’ advice.
Meanwhile, the embassy has requested the media to respect privacy of the bereaved family and desist from frequent contacts with the family. Pakistan Embassy would update the media, whenever any development takes place.
