ISLAMABAD, Jan 16 (APP):Dr. Mazhar Iqbal has been elected as the President of the Academic Staff Association (ASA) at Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU), securing 131 votes, his opponent, Dr. Asif Ali, received 88 votes in the elections held on Thursday.
According to the newly elected Secretary of Information, Samar Iqbal Babar, all other candidates were elected unopposed.
The elected office bearers included Gul Rehman as Vice President, Aneesa Sultan as Vice President (Women), Amanullah Khan as General Secretary, Ali Haider as Joint Secretary, Samar Iqbal Babar as Secretary of Information, and Muizuddin Haqqal as Treasurer.
