President launches Spring Tree Plantation Campaign

ISLAMABAD, Mar 4 (APP): President Mamnoon Hussain on Friday said treesplay an important role in strengthening of national economy and help check the ill effects of the climate change. The President, who kicked off the annual Spring Tree Plantation Campaign by planting a sapling of Araucaria Excelsa here at the lawns of the Aiwan-e-Sadr, stressed the need for creating awareness in public about the importance of trees.
