ISLAMABAD, Oct 02 (APP): Pakistan and Turkiye on Monday strongly condemned the reprehensible acts of terrorism taking place in their respective regions.
In a telephonic conversation, Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi and Head of Turkish Religious Affairs Dr. Ali Arbash said Pakistan and Turkiye, standing together against terrorism, vowed to combat those who target innocent civilians and attempt to undermine Muslim nations through their mutual cooperation.
They, in a joint statement, said Islam was a religion of peace and safety, and any individuals or groups that perpetrated violence against innocent humanity were enemies of Islam. “Such individuals, organizations, or entities have no connection to Islam,” they added.
Dr. Ali Arbash, expressed his heartfelt condemnation of the recent terrorist incidents in Mastung and Hangu. He also expressed gratitude on behalf of Turkiye’s government and people for Pakistan’s strong condemnation of terrorism.
Ashrafi emphasized the brotherly bond between Pakistan and Turkiye, stating that recent acts of terrorism in both countries were unacceptable to the entire Muslim world. He reassured that Pakistan’s government and people stood shoulder to shoulder with their Turkish brethren.
Both leaders agreed to enhance cooperation on important national and international matters. Furthermore, they prayed for the elevation of martyrs’ ranks and the swift recovery of the wounded.
