NEPRA notifies 12 paisa per unit reduction in power tariff

ISLAMABAD, May 23 (APP): The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has issued a notification to slash 12 paisa per unit tariff to the consumers of K-Electric for March 2016 under monthly fuel adjustment formula.

The K-Electric in its petition submitted with the power regulator sought only three paisa reduction in power tariff.
The NEPRA also directed K-Electric to pass on the benefit in coming bills of June.

However, this reduction would not be implemented on those consumers who were using less than 300 units and on agriculture consumers.
