Media contributed to peace, prosperity: Pervez Rashid

LAHORE, May 20 (APP): Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Friday said that media had contributed a lot for making Pakistan a peaceful and prosperous country which gave the hopes of bright future to the masses.

Speaking at the launch of a national private news channel in Gulberg here, he said that media should support the government in its mission of giving a safe and bright future to the coming generations.

The Minister said that it was all due to a democratic system that Imran Khan and other political leaders had full liberty to hold public meetings to present their agenda.
