RAWALPINDI, Aug 11 (APP): The funeral prayer of Lieutenant Uzair Mehmood Malik, Shaheed, (age 24 years, resident of Attock district) who rendered the ultimate sacrifice bravely fighting against the Khawarij in Bagh, District Khyber, were offered at Peshawar Garrison on Sunday.
Shaheed Lieutenant Uzair Mehmood Malik was seriously injured during the operation against Khawarij on August 9, 2024 and he embraced martyrdom on August 11, 2024 in CMH Peshawar, an Inter Services Public Relations news release said.
The funeral was attended by Corps Commander Peshawar, family members of the martyr and a large number of military and civil officials
The martyr will be buried in his hometown with full military honours.
