ITP takes road safety message to streets, airwaves across capital
ISLAMABAD, Aug 22 (APP):Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has taken its road-safety message from the capital’s streets to the airwaves, combining daily public awareness activities with special radio programmes to promote traffic discipline and safer travel across Islamabad.
An official told APP on Saturday that the ITP Education Wing was conducting daily awareness activities to educate citizens and road users about traffic laws, road safety and responsible driving.
The official said the awareness campaign was being carried out alongside traffic enforcement so that citizens were not only held accountable for violations but also educated about the importance of following traffic rules.
Special awareness programmes on road safety and traffic laws were also being broadcast through Islamabad Capital Police Radio FM 92.4, allowing the safety message to reach motorists beyond roadside awareness activities.
CTO Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan said the purpose of traffic enforcement and awareness was to protect citizens from accidents and maintain smooth and organised traffic flow in the federal capital.
She said compliance with traffic laws was essential for creating a safer road environment and urged motorists and other road users to follow traffic rules and cooperate with traffic police.
The CTO Kainat said Islamabad Traffic Police was using all available resources to provide citizens with a safe and organised travelling environment.
She reiterated that protection of citizens’ lives and the establishment of a safe traffic system remained a top priority of Islamabad Traffic Police.
