ISLAMABAD, Oct 17 (APP): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) police Inspector General (IG) Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi on Thursday congratulated the officers for ensuring peace and order in the federal capital and for the comprehensive security arrangements made for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit 2024.
A public relation officer told APP, the meeting took place at the Central Police Office Islamabad, with DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza, DIG Headquarters Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer, DIG Law and Order Shakir Hussain Dawar, and other senior police officers in attendance.
He said IG Rizvi commended the officers for maintaining law and order during recent events in the federal capital.
IG Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi announced awards and an honorarium equivalent to one month’s salary to encourage the entire police force, he added.
IG urged all officers to continue striving to protect and serve the citizens with the same dedication.
IG Rizvi said all officers demonstrated bravery and a strong commitment to serving and protecting citizens, maintaining peace and order with zeal.
The IG highlighted that during the SCO Summit 2024, the police ensured full security for foreign delegations’ residences, venues, and routes, while also informing citizens about alternative routes to keep traffic flow smooth.
He said for the summit’s security, the ICT Police utilized all available resources and upheld the nation’s dignity and reputation.
IG Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi further urged all officers to continue working with the same enthusiasm in the future to ensure the safety and service of the public.
