Govt. to continue supporting writers

ISLAMABAD, Apr 24 (APP): President Mamnoon Hussain has said that Pakistani writers and their works were gaining international recognition and assured that the government would continue supporting their endeavours.
He said intellectuals and writers played an important role in identifying and addressing various social ills afflicting a society, besides contributing in its intellectual and moral growth.
The President was speaking at a ceremony arranged for intellectuals, writers and academicians here at Aiwan-e-Sadr who attended the 7th National Book Day Festival.
