Czech CGS calls on COAS

RAWALPINDI, May 24 (APP): Chief of General Staff (CGS) Czech Republic Armed Forces General Josef Becvar Tuesday called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif at General Headquarters.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest including regional  security situation and measures to enhance defence cooperation between both the countries were discussed, an ISPR news release stated.

Czech CGS appreciated achievements of Operation Zarb-e-Azb and paid tributes to Pakistan’s sacrifices in bringing peace and stability in the region.

Earlier, on arrival at General Headquarters, a smartly turned out  contingent of Pakistan army presented guard of honor to the visiting dignitary, who laid wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada.
