ISLAMABAD, Oct 07 (APP): The first meeting of a high-powered committee on cyber security and electronic security of government offices established by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif was held here on Friday.
Minster for Interior Rana Sana Ullah presided over the meeting of the committee held at the Ministry of Interior while Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazir Tarar, Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman also participated in the meeting.
Cabinet Secretary, Secretary National Telecom and Secretary Information Technology and other members of the committee were also present.
Minister for Interior directed the committee to complete the work within two weeks under the given terms of reference.
The committee will review the investigation into the cyber security breach at the Prime Minister’s House and also of the existing cyber security protocols for the Prime Minister’s Office and Prime Minister’s House.
The committee would formulate an action plan to make cyber security protocol fool proof and to give recommendations for ensuring electronic security of all government offices.
The committee will complete its recommendations in two weeks which will be submitted to the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
