CGS of Armed Forces of Iran calls on Khawaja Asif

ISLAMABAD, Jan 20 (APP): Chief of General Staff (CGS) of the Armed Forces of Iran, General Muhammad Baqeri Monday called on Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif.

According to a news release, the minister during a meeting said that both friendly countries enjoy cordial and fraternal ties nourished by centuries-old religious and cultural affinities.

Khawaja Asif said that bilateral relations between the two countries are progressing positively in all fields.

Both sides showed satisfaction on the progress in various areas of mutual interest including joint border management and counter-terrorism measures.

It was agreed to enhance cooperation in areas of common interest in future.
