ISLAMABAD, Oct 28 (APP): The Centre for Excellence in Journalism
has invited applications for training course on ‘Advanced News Reporting’ till October 31 and classes will be started from November 2, 2015.
The course will be held at Institute of Business Administration
and would be taught by Karen Bordeleau, Adjunct Professor of Journalism
at Emerson College, Boston.
Advanced News Reporting is designed to help practicing
journalists to improve their reporting and writing skills so they can
deliver more informed and engaging stories to their audiences.
During the course, they will learn advanced reporting
techniques, improve their interviewing skills, and how to tell
factual stories in ways that keep readers’ interest.
This will be done through hands-on exercises, interspersed
with field trips and guest lectures. Advanced News Reporting will
also cover in detail libel and ethical challenges faced by
journalists.
This course is appropriate for journalists and media
professionals working in print, broadcast, digital or radio.
Classes will be held daily from 9am to 5pm from November 2-13.
Accepted participants must be available to attend the entire
length of the course.
