ISLAMABAD, April 25 (APP): The citizens of Federal Capital have demanded the quarters concerned to take a policy decision of banning political gatherings at public parks.
The people were disappointed over damaging of the beauty of Fatima Jinnah Park by the supporters of the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) during the party’s gathering marking 20th foundation day. They expressed concern over the massive damage done to the precious plants, grass and the infrastructure at the biggest recreational park
of the Capital.
Gohar Ali, a resident of Islamabad, said he and his family visited the park every Sunday to enjoy its serene environment, but his children could not enjoy the weekend due to the PTI’s meeting. He said the district administration should not have allowed such a gathering at the public place.
