ISLAMABAD, Feb 19 (APP):Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, on Wednesday extended heartfelt congratulations to the Pakistani nation and cricket enthusiasts worldwide on the hosting of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan.
“Today is a historic day,” the Speaker said. He said that this marks the first ICC mega event in Pakistan since 1996. He described the hosting of the Champions Trophy 2025 as a moment of national pride and joy.
Welcoming all participating international teams, he said, “The arrival of global teams reflects the international community’s trust in Pakistan.”
He commended the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PCB Chairman Senator Mohsin Raza Naqvi for ensuring the successful organization of this prestigious tournament. “I extend my appreciation to the Prime Minister and PCB Chairman for their dedication in making this event possible,” he remarked.
The Speaker said that the return of international cricket to Pakistan marks the beginning of a new era of growth and prosperity.
