MIRPUR ( AJK): Sept. 09 (APP)::Azad Jammu & Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq has said next to the formal announcement of the administrative package for the Poonch division, the development funds would be distributed equally among all the three administrative divisions of the state.
The PM expressed these views while talking to a delegation of Chairman Muslim Conference Youth Wing which called on him at the federal metropolis on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, the PM said that the development funds would be distributed equally among the three divisions.
The PM said that he would very soon pay a detailed visit to the Poonch division where he would meet people from all walks of life and listen to their grievances.
The PM said that he was fully aware of the problems being faced by the people of Azad Kashmir.
He said that the people of the region would start to reap the benefits of the policies the government has formulated during the past couple of months.
Regarding the inflated electricity bills, the PM said that the government has postponed additional charges on electricity bills to provide relief to the common people.
The PM said that the government was introducing a policy under which no official or a state functionary can use free electricity.
He said that the government would not allow anyone to misuse public funds.
He said that holding peaceful protests was the right of the people. “Constructive criticism plays a vital role in helping the government to improve its performance”, the PM said.
On the occasion, the MC leader Sardar Usman Atique congratulated the Prime Minister for adopting a principled stance on the key issues during the recently held Senate Standing Committee meeting and for granting an administrative package for the Poonch division.
He also appreciated the Prime Minister’s initiatives to ensure good governance in the state.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of life and property in the terrible earthquake in Morocco.
” At this hour of immense grief, we stand in solidarity with the people of Morocco and express our condolences for the loss of life in the earthquake”, the PM said.
