UNITED NATIONS, Feb 23 (APP): Making a strong case against creating new  permanent seats in the UN Security Council, a top Pakistani diplomat has said such a move would only “serve the self-centered interests of a few” — an obvious reference to the bid by India, Brazil, Germany and Japan for elevated status in the 15-member body. “Permanent seats are essentially national seats in perpetuity,”  Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi warned as the long-running Inter-Governmental Negotiations aimed at reforming the Security Council resumed the process on Monday.
