OIC’s summit on Palestine kicks off in Jakarta

JAKARTA, (Indonesia), March 6 (APP): An extraordinary summit of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Palestine and Al Quds Al Sharif (Jerusalem) was opened in the Indonesian capital on Sunday, bringing together representatives from 49 Muslim countries. The summit is being held at the request of Palestine’s President Mehmoud Abbas, after the escalation of Israeli violence in the occupied territories and restriction imposed by it to access the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem.
