OIC Summit concludes with call for independent State of Palestine

JAKARTA, Indonesia, March 7 (APP): The fifth Extraordinary Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) concluded on Monday with Muslim leaders strongly condemning Israeli violence and expressing firm support for an independent State of Palestine. The Jakarta Declaration issued at the end of two-day Summit reiterated support for the Palestinian cause as the Muslim leaders from 49 countries including Pakistan, exhibited the spirit of unity and solidarity with the Palestinian people.
