PESHAWAR, Jul 29 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Monday hold a special meeting at the Governor House Peshawar with young Asian Boxing Champion Shoaib Khan Zahri and National Boxing Champions Bilal Khan, Sudais Khan, and Hidayat Afridi.
During the meeting, the Governor praised the young boxing athletes for their achievements and encouraged them to continue showcasing their skills on the Asian and national stages, making their country proud.
The Governor expressed his best wishes to Shoaib Khan, the Asian Boxing Champion, for his upcoming bout against an Indian boxer at the World Boxing Championship in Dubai.
He expressed hope that Shoaib would elevate Pakistan’s pride by performing excellently in this international competition.Governor Faisal Kundi assured the athletes of his full support and emphasized the importance of fostering and backing young talent.
He noted that Pakistan has an abundance of talent and stressed the need for comprehensive support for the youth across all fields.
He highlighted that promoting sports is key to fostering peace, and the government is committed to advancing sports as a means of promoting harmony in the province. The Governor congratulated Shoaib Khan for remaining unbeaten in the 35-nation Asian Lightweight Boxing Championship held in Thailand.
Meanwhile, former MPA Meher Sultana Advocate also met with Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and discussed various problems and political issues. She appreciated Governor Kundi for taking measures for the development of the province and prosperity of people.
