LAHORE, Aug 02 (APP):The Home Economics University on Friday inaugurated Women Entrepreneurship Center to develop entrepreneurial skills and business spirit among the female students.
Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider inaugurated the Women Entrepreneurship Center which has been established in the Department of Fashion and Textile Design.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Faleha Zahra Kazmi, Dr. Waqar Chaudhry, Registrar Shujaat Munif Qureshi, Dr. Tayyaba Sohail, Nausheen Zaidi and other teachers and students were present.
Governor Punjab Sardar Salim Haider while addressing the ceremony said that the center will play an important role in the training of female students. He said, to support those working for Made in Pakistan should come ahead to support the female students. The governor said that the young generation should focus on action instead of slogans, adding that it is our moral duty to stand with the Pakistan identity.
He said, “Being Chancellor, I would like to do outstanding work for the universities, that will help improve the future of our students.” Sardar Salim Haider said that the work of the Vice-Chancellor is not just to stay in the office, but to contribute to strengthen the universities.
Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Faleha Zahra Kazmi said that this center of Home Economics University is a professional forum for female students. She highlighted the importance of
training on business issues and entrepreneurship trend among female students.
She said that all kinds of facilities are provided to the students in the university. “Our priority to provide higher education at the university has been fulfilled as the excellent educational facilities are being provided.”
A commemorative shield was also presented to the Punjab governor.
