SARGODHA, Mar 04 (APP):The Human Resource Development Center (HRDC) at the University of Sargodha (UoS) conducted a two-day training workshop titled “Leading with Purpose: Beyond Management” designed to enhance leadership effectiveness among Deans, Principals, Directors, and Chairpersons of the teaching departments.
The workshop was inaugurated by Pro. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mian Ghulam Yasin, and attended by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rizwan, Chairman Department of Clinical Psychology, University of Medical Sciences, Rawalpindi, Mirza Masood Baig, Ex-Director PTV, Khursheed Yusuf, Consultant HRDC, and Dr. Fayyaz ur Rehman.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rizwan shared his expertise on “Stress Management and Mindfulness”. He emphasized the importance of mental well-being in leadership roles.
Mirza Masood Baig delivered a lecture on “Failure is not your enemy: cultivating emotional intelligence for resilient leadership”. He encouraged participants to reframe their approach to failure and develop emotional intelligence.
Khursheed Yusuf mentored participants on “Transformational Leadership”. He provided valuable insights into effective leadership strategies.
Dr. Fayyaz ur Rehman delivered a comprehensive lecture on “Technology & Practical Tools for Coordination”. He highlighted the benefits of AI-powered tools in automating routine tasks, provided analytical insights, and facilitated real-time communication.
While addressing the closing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Mian Ghulam Yasin highlighted the crucial role of transformational leadership in higher education. He applauded HRDC’s continuous efforts in developing academic leaders and commended the participants for their commitment to professional growth.
The Pro Vice Chancellor also distributed the certificates of participation among the participants.
