ISLAMABAD, Apr 09 (APP):A prestigious farewell ceremony was held on Wednesday at the Police Lines Headquarters in honor of Superintendent of Police (SP) Hakim Khan after his retirement. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) CTD Hamza Humayun graced the occasion as the chief guest.
A police spokesperson told APP that other senior police officers and personnel were also present at the event. SSP CTD extended best wishes to the retiring SP and praised his services to the police department.

SSP mentioned that retirement is a part of the service and everyone who begins their service will eventually retire. SP Hakim Khan has served the police department for a long time and now the department is in need of his service.
“During our tenure, we should aim to achieve deeds that will enhance our reputation and ensure that our character is remembered positively. We must pledge to serve the public as much as possible during our service to earn the blessings of Allah,” the SSP said.
He further added that the retiring officer has spent a valuable part of his life serving in the police department and in return, the department has given him respect, dignity and a position for which he should be grateful to Allah.
At the end of the ceremony, the chief guest praised the retiring officer’s services and presented him with an honorary police shield, extending best wishes for his future endeavors.
SP Hakim Khan joined the Islamabad Police in 1987 as an Assistant Sub-Inspector and has held various important positions in different divisions of Islamabad Police.
