SARGODHA, Apr 24 (APP):Sargodha Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) President Khawaja Yasir Qayyum said the chamber would initiate training programmes for farmers in financial literacy, budgeting, and investment.
Speaking at a special ceremony held in honour of Director of Finance Dr Muhammad Saleem, Chief Manager Waqas Kashif Bajwa, Deputy Chief Madam Qurat-ul-Ain, and National Bank officials Rafique Ahmed and Ahmed Raza, he emphasized the importance of providing farmers with financial access, modern technology, and market connectivity to ensure agricultural development.
He also revealed plans to establish the Sargodha Agriculture Fund under the Chamber’s patronage to offer short-term loans to small-scale farmers.
Yasir Qayyum stressed the need for collaboration between agricultural banks and financial institutions to ensure transparent and accessible loan policies for farmers, industrialists, and traders alike.
Earlier, SBP officers and Yasir Qayyum participated in an Agricultural Fair, raising awareness among farmers about easy loan access.
