SARGODHA, Feb 28 (APP): The University of Sargodha (UoS) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Give Life Foundation to collaborate on health awareness initiatives, blood donation drives, and community outreach programmes.
The agreement was signed by Dr Mahmood-ul-Hassan, Director Student Affairs, and Usman Haseeb, founder of Give Life Foundation. The signing ceremony was attended by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Qaisar Abbas, Dean Faculty of Sciences Prof Dr Aamir Ali, Dean Faculty of Pharmacy Prof Dr Usman Minhas, and Controller of Examinations Dr Rehana Ilyas.
Under the partnership, both institutions will work together to organise blood donation drives, conduct health awareness sessions, and promote thalassemia awareness through workshops and seminars. Additionally, they will support efforts to establish a sustainable blood supply and implement community outreach programmes focused on preventive healthcare.
As part of the collaboration, the Give Life Foundation will also offer volunteer roles, training sessions, and internship placements for UoS students, providing them with hands-on experience in social services and community health initiatives.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Qaisar Abbas emphasised that the partnership would help promote a culture of health awareness and blood donation among students, faculty, and the broader community.
Dr Mahmood-ul-Hassan highlighted the university’s commitment to fostering social responsibility, stating that this initiative would provide students with valuable opportunities to engage in community service.
Usman Haseeb expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We are excited to partner with the University of Sargodha to promote blood donation, health awareness, and Thalassemia awareness. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on society.”
