FAISALABAD, Aug 12 (APP):The highways department has started construction of six main roads of district council, Faialabad under the CM Punjab roads’ rehabilitation program.
The roads would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 1.16 billion. Sharing details here Monday, Highways Xen Abdullah Gill Kakar said that under the program, a 23.48km long road from Samundri city to Keekar stop will be completed. He said that a 21.71km road from 3-Pullain to Chamrra Jhal, tehsil Samundri will be competed at a cost of Rs 283 million; a 21km long road from Khanoana to Rodala with Rs 201.9 million and a 20km road from Shahkot to Chiniot via Chak Jhumra at a cost of Rs 138.2 million.
Similarly, a 17.4km long Khurrianwala bypass will be completed at a cost of Rs 163.6 million and a 3km road from Khurrianwala –Chak Jhumra road will be repaired at a cost of Rs 29.2 million.
He said that best travelling facilities would be available to residents of dozens of villages after the completion of the roads.
