MULTAN, Jul 18 (APP): Rescue teams provided first aid to 2106 mourners during Youm-e-Ashoor across the district.
According to Rescue officials, the teams provided first aid to 2003 mourners on the spot while 103 seriously injured were shifted to various hospitals in Multan, Shujabad, and Jalal Pur.
As many as 600 Rescue personnel along with 35 ambulances, 98 motorbikes, and 17 fire vehicles, provided emergency cover to Muharram processions and majalis.
District Emergency Officer (DEO) Dr. Hussnain Mian said that the rescue staff remained alert at Rescue posts established regarding majalis and Muharram.
Likewise, the Rescue 1122 control room also remained functional round the clock during Muharram to provide emergency services swiftly, he added.
