RAWALPINDI, Sep 09 (APP):The Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 on Saturday celebrated World First Aid Day with the intention of promoting awareness about the role of first aid in saving lives.
In this regard, awareness walks and seminars were organized at all the rescue stations of Rawalpindi district.
With the aim of training one person in each house so that in an emergency situation, the victim can be saved until the response of the rescue teams.
On the occasion, the District Emergency Officer Rawalpindi Engineer Sibghatullah said that the purpose of observing World First Aid Day is to highlight the importance of first aid among people and to make them realize the importance of learning first aid in case of emergency at home or anywhere.
When an accident occurs, people who are trained in first aid can provide immediate assistance to the victim until emergency medical teams arrive at the scene, Therefore, for the establishment of a safe society, everyone should get first aid training from Rescue 1122 and keep first aid kits in their cars, offices, schools and homes, he added.
