RAWALPINDI, Apr 09 (APP):Senator Nasir Mahmood Butt and Pakistan Sweet Homes Patron-in-Chief Zamurd Khan on Wednesday led a walk organized by the Rawalpindi Police to create awareness about the prevention and harms of drugs among the public.
According to the Rawalpindi Police spokesman, the anti-drugs walk held on the instructions of City Police Officer Syed Khalid Hamdani, passed through the areas of City and Sadiqabad police stations.
DSP City Circle, station house officers of City, Sadiqabad, Ganjmandi and Pirwadhai police station and a large number of other police officers, scholars, traders and citizens participated in the awareness walk.
The walk participants gave a message to the citizens about the harms of drugs. They highlighted the measures taken by the Punjab Government against drugs and the performance of Rawalpindi Police.
“Awareness speeches and pamphlets are also being distributed in mosques regarding the prevention and harms of drugs,” the spokesman said.
