LODHRAN, Mar 05 (APP):The Punjab government was providing financial assistance to 67,630 deserving families in Lodhran district as part of the Ramadan Nigehban package.
Each eligible family was receiving Rs 10,000 to support them during the holy month of Ramadan.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue (ADCR) Syed Waseem Hassan supervised the distribution of pay orders in Mouza Matran and Mouza Fazil Wala, Tehsil Lodhran.
Speaking on the occasion, he emphasized that the initiative reflected the Punjab government’s commitment to supporting vulnerable families.
Instead of traditional Ramadan bazaars or ration packages, this year, the Punjab government was directly transferring cash relief to ensure maximum convenience and transparency.
Under the programme, pay orders were being delivered door-to-door via Pakistan Post, issued by the Bank of Punjab. Beneficiaries could deposit the pay orders in their respective banks and withdraw cash after biometric verification using their CNICs.
