KOHAT, Sept 27 (APP)::Following directives issued by the Provincial Minister for Information and Public Relations Barrister Feroze Jamal Shah Kakakhel and Director General Information Muhammad Imran, Pakhtunkhwa Radio Kohat FM 92.4 organized a Naat Khwani competition in connection with the Eid Milad-ul-Nabi (SAW).
The Regional Information Directorate informed on Wednesday that students from various schools, and madrassas of Kohat and Peshawar participated in the Naat Khwani competition.
According to the results, Abdul Matin Shah of Jamiat Al-Madinah Abdullah bin Masood, Hazrat Umar of Government High School No. 3 Kohat and Misbahullah of Al Noor Iqra Education System Peshawar won the first, second and third positions respectively in the Naat Khawan boys’ competition.
Among female Naat Khawans. Aasia of Sina Education System Kohat, Asma of Alnoor Iqra Education System Peshawar and Arisha Jahan of Sina Education System Kohat won the first, second and third positions respectively.
In the competition, 28 Naat Khawans from 14 schools of District Kohat and Peshawar participated. The competition was held in 2 categories. In the first category, there was a competition among Naat Khwan boys from Class V to X, while in the second category, there was a competition between Naat Khwan girls from Class V to X.
District Khatib Kohat Mufti Shafiullah was the special guest of the Naat Khawani competition. Broadcaster Anwar Orkazai was the host of the event while the panel of judges included well-known Naat Khawans Asif Tarabi, Hafiz Asif Anwar and Zameer Ahmed.
In the end, awards, certificates and cash prizes were distributed among the position holders in both categories.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest District Khatib Kohat Mufti Shafiullah while congratulating Pakhtunkhwa Radio Kohat Station Manager Irshad Muhammad Afridi and his staff for organizing Naat Khwani, said, no doubt, the holding of such gatherings was encouraging and would have positive impacts on the society. In this regard, the efforts of Pakhtunkhwa Radio Kohat are commendable.
Naat competition was held under the supervision of Station Manager Irshad Muhammad Afridi while Abaseen Khan Mohmand served as producer.
