LAHORE, Aug 09 (APP):Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has announced a cash reward of Rs2 million for Olympian javelinist Arshad Nadeem who smashed the Olympic record with his gold-medal throw of 92.97 meters in javelin finals during the Paris Olympics 2024.
In a felicitation message here on Friday, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan hailed Arshad Nadeem for smashing a 118 years old javelin throw record, adding that Arshad Nadeem had added to the prestige and pride of the country.
Sardar Saleem Haider said that Arshad Nadeem has earned this status though dedication, hard work and courage, adding that he was a role model for the budding athletes in the country.
He expressed the hope that Arshad Nadeem will achieve many similar feats for the country in future.
Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that Olympian Arshad Nadeem will be formally invited to the Governor’s House upon return to the country from the Paris Olympics.
