Over 90 SMIU business graduates showcase 26 projects at Start-UP Summit

KARACHI, Jan 09 (APP):Sindh Madressatul Islam University’s (SMIU) Business Incubation Center (BIC) in collaboration with varsity’s Department of Business Administration organised the “Start-Up Summit 3.0: From Concept to Success” on Thursday at the university.
This dynamic event showcased innovative business ideas developed by more than 90 final-year business graduates, who presented 26 groundbreaking start-up projects aimed at redefining industries and solving real-world problems.
Vice Chancellor SMIU Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai inaugurated the Start-Up Summit by cutting a ribbon. The VC also visited stalls, where different projects/products were displayed by the students. Among these were I.T related products, fashion, mobile videography, different publications, fabric, leather, modern plantation and other start -ups.
Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai appreciated the innovative projects/products of young entrepreneurs of SMIU and said that they have a great potential to get success in the field of business with new ideas and endeavours. He said it is a unique exhibition of ideas by business graduates of Sindh Madressatul Islam University.  He advised the young entrepreneurs that before launching their products they must follow their legality and must check substances used specially in food and other such products.
Dr. Sahrai further said this kind of expertise of SMIU’s students shall contribute in the economic growth of the country in near future. He stated that with induction of young minds in the field of business, more job opportunities will be created for others also.
He also appreciated Dean Dr. Zahid Ali Channar, Shahid Obaid, Assistant Professor and other faculty members of the Department of Business Administration for supporting the students in organising a mega exhibition of business projects.
Turkiye’s State-run Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency- TIKA’s head Halil Ibrahim Basaran, Dr. Zahid Ali Channar, Dean, Faculty of Management, Business Administration and Commerce, Dr. Jamshed Adil Halepoto, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Khan, Advisor to the Vice Chancellor on Academics, Shahid Obaid, Assistant Professor, Registrar Ghulam Mustafa Shaikh, Director ORIC Dr. Mansoor Ahmed Khuhro, Chairperson of Department of Social and Development Studies Dr. Subhash Babu and other heads of different departments accompanied the Vice Chancellor.
