FAISALABAD, Sep 22 (APP):Punjab Council of Arts Faisalabad and the district administration Chiniot sealed

Neelam Theater after a joint inspection found multiple violations of the approved

theatrical program, prescribed rules and regulations and irregularities in promotional

material.

A spokesman of Faisalabad Arts Council (FAC) said here on Tuesday the joint

action was conducted as part of an ongoing monitoring drive to ensure compliance

with the code of conduct and other legal and administrative requirements governing

theatrical activities.

During inspection, the authorities observed several violations at Neelam Theater

including breaches of the approved play and prescribed theater rules and regulations

besides irregularities relating to promotional and publicity material.

The officials concerned examined the situation on the spot and prepared a report

documenting the violations.

Officials of the district administration Chiniot and Punjab Council of Arts Faisalabad

directed the theater management to ensure that all activities were conducted strictly

in accordance with applicable laws, the prescribed code of conduct and permissions

granted by the relevant authorities.

Following the reported violations, the authorities sealed Neelam Theater Chiniot

in accordance with the applicable administrative action.

FAC spokesman made it clear that compliance with the law, code of conduct and

administrative instructions would be ensured at theaters and no theater would be

allowed to conduct unauthorized activities or violate prescribed rules and regulations.

Monitoring and inspection of the theaters would continue to ensure that promotion

of performing arts was accompanied by full compliance with legal, administrative

and ethical requirements, he added.
