MATIARI, Mar 17 (APP):The National Disability & Development Forum (NDF) Pakistan, in collaboration with the Sindh Doctors Association UK, organized a special distribution ceremony in Matiari, providing essential assistive devices to persons with disabilities.
During the event, 21 individuals with disabilities received wheelchairs and tricycles, aiming to improve their mobility and independence.
Additionally, a number of individuals were given Eid gifts, including clothing and other essential items, to celebrate the upcoming festivities with dignity and joy.
Speaking on the occasion, Abid Lashari, President of NDF Pakistan, emphasized the urgent need for assistive devices in Sindh, particularly in District Matiari, which has a significant population of persons with disabilities.
He reaffirmed NDF Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing access and inclusion for marginalized communities.
Tariq Hussain Channar, Program Manager NDF, and Salman Laghari, District Coordinator Matiari, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of community support and collaboration in ensuring the well-being of persons with disabilities. NDF Pakistan extends its gratitude to the Sindh Doctors Association UK for their generous support and dedication to empowering individuals with disabilities.
