LAHORE, Jul 10 (APP):Provincial Minister for Industry and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain launched five language courses in Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) institutes, here on Wednesday.
The minister inaugurated the language programmes by pressing the computer button. According to the programme, 3-month courses of German, Korean, Japanese, Arabic and Chinese languages were being conducted in the evening classes in the institutes. Through these courses, awareness was given about employment opportunities abroad, immigration rules and other issues. German language courses in Lahore and Gujarat, Japanese in Rawalpindi, Korean in Sialkot and Arabic in Multan were being conducted. Regarding the courses, regular classes would be started from 5th August.
Speaking on the occasion, Provincial Minister for Industry and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain said that the launch of five language programme in TEVTA institutions was a good initiative of the government. Due to these courses, the youth would get better job opportunities in foreign countries. While directing full monitoring of classes of language courses, the provincial minister said that labs of language courses should also be upgraded as per requirement.
Senior DG TEVTA Akhtar Abbas Bharwana gave a detailed briefing about the language courses and told that the standards of teachers for the courses had also been fixed.
Secretary Industry Ihsan Bhutta, Chairman TEVTA, COO and other officers of TEVTA attended the inauguration ceremony while regional directors of TEVTA participated through video link.
