PESHAWAR, Aug 12 (APP):A meeting held here on Monday with Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary reviewed preparations for the 77th Independence Day celebrations.
Additional Chief Secretary Home and Tribal Affairs Department, Abid Majeed, relevant administrative secretaries, and other officials were present at the meeting, while commissioners and deputy commissioners participated via video link.
The meeting was given a detailed briefing from Secretary Administration, Muhammad Israr, about the activities planned for Independence Day. Commissioners and deputy commissioners informed the meeting about the programs planned in their respective districts.
On this occasion, the Chief Secretary stated that, as like previous years, this year’s Independence Day would be celebrated with great enthusiasm and zeal.
He instructed that national flags be hoisted on all government buildings and that they be illuminated with decorative lights. Flag hoisting ceremonies, rallies, and special walks should be organized at divisional headquarters and districts. Similarly, educational institutions should organize events in connection with Independence Day, including awareness speeches and sports competitions.
He further emphasized that Independence Day activities should be highlighted in newspapers, television, and social media.
Additionally, he mentioned that August 14th is a day to renew our commitment to making Pakistan an exemplary welfare state, a goal towards which we all must continue to work diligently.
