Mayor assures of cleanliness, street lights for celebratory events of Rabiul Awal

HYDERABAD, Sep 09 (APP):The Mayor of Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (HMC) Kashir Ali Shoro has said Rabiul Awal is a very important and religiously significant month for Muslims because the Almighty sent his beloved Prophet (PBUH) on earth to introduce humans to Islam.
Addressing a meeting at his office here on Monday, attended by organizers of various groups arranging Eid Miladun Nabi related events and activities, the mayor assured that the HMC would play its part to ensure that the month’s celebrations are not affected by any civic issues.
He added that the HMC would maintain cleanliness and street lights would be arranged in the areas from where the celebratory rallies would pass or where Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW) related events would be held. Shoro assured the organizers that all the issues which were pointed out by them during the meeting would be addressed on priority.”We will make sure that the arrangements related issues are addressed before 12th Rabiul Awal,” he said.
On the occasion the mayor formed a 3-member committee to spearhead the exercise of cleanliness and lighting during the month. Meanwhile, Chairman Traffic and Road Safety Foundation Javed Iqbal, who is also an honourary secretary of District Traffic Management Board, pointed out that 14 important roads in the city were damaged during the recent rainfall. He emphasized on the need of carrying out urgent repair on the roads to ensure smooth flow of traffic when rallies were taken out to celebrate Rabiul Awal. Iqbal also asked the authorities to cover all the small and large drains from St Marry’s School to Kohenoor Chowk, which was the route of the central rallies.
