QUETTA, Aug 12 (APP): Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Monday said that living nations celebrate Independence Day with enthusiasm and a national spirit.
He expressed these views while addressing at the closing ceremony of the All Balochistan Independence Celebration Shooting Championship here.
The Chief Minister stated that shooting sports have been a traditional activity for the Baloch, Pashtun, and local tribes. He said that there is a need to revive this sport.
He mentioned that Independence Day celebrations were underway throughout Balochistan, and also cautioned that some enemy forces are aiming to weaken Pakistan.
A certain group is trying to destabilize the state through propaganda and violence which will be foiled by the contribution of security forces and the nation for the development of the country, he said adding that anti-national forces wanted to create a gulf between the state and the people.
He said that social media was a good thing, but it was being used negatively. He said that the world adopted social media by developing moral values on strong lines.
He said that in the context of Balochistan, the weapon of social media was used badly whereas, positive use of social media was needed to prevent conspiracies. The provincial government will fail all such conspiracies and elements that were trying to weaken the state, he maintained.
He said, “we would eradicate all such elements who were creating distance between the state and the youth by sitting on mountains or utilizing social media”. People of Balochistan are patriotic, all conspiracies against the state will be failed so that the country would put on track of development processes, he remarked.
He said that being a part of the Baloch democratic process, he reached the position of president saying that he did not think that Baloch needed any more freedom than this.
Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said that while sticking to the decision made by elders to join Pakistan, they would not hesitate to give their blood.
