LAHORE, Jul 11 (APP):To ensure uninterrupted power supply during monsoon season, a high-level meeting of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) was held with Chief Executive Engineer Shahid Haider in the chair here on Thursday.
The meeting reviewed measures taken to guarantee electricity supply. Officials confirmed that all necessary steps had been completed to prevent disruptions, including deployment of additional staff across divisions and backup transformers had been provided for emergencies.
LESCO Chief Engineer Shahid Haider directed officials concerned to maintain readiness at all times, especially during rainfall, to promptly address technical faults and minimise consumer inconvenience. He emphasised a zero-tolerance policy towards any lapses in power supply, instructing strict disciplinary action against officers and staff responsible for any shortcomings.
The meeting, attended by Director HR Zameer Hussain Kolachi, Chief Finance Officer Bushra Imran, Director Customer Services Sarwar Mughal and other officers, concluded with a commitment to uphold service standards and ensure uninterrupted electricity provision across all operational areas of LESCO.
Earlier, a press statement, issued by a spokesman for the company, said LESCO had intensified its campaign against defaulters under the direction of Chief Executive Engineer Shahid Haider, with over Rs. 5.24 million recovery on the 263rd day of the campaign.
Director Customer Services Sarwar Mughal oversaw the recovery from 111 defaulters, totalling above Rs. 5.24 million.
