Iranian Consul General Ali Banafsha Khwah meets KP Governor

PESHAWAR, Jan 30 (APP): Iranian Consul General Ali Banafsheh Khaha, met with Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, at the Governor House here on Thursday.

During the meeting, Governor Kundi emphasized the deep-rooted, unbreakable bonds between Pakistan and Iran, grounded in their Islamic, cultural, and geographical connections.

He highlighted that religious and cultural events from Iran are celebrated with great enthusiasm in Pakistan, and people make significant efforts to participate in them, strengthening the friendship and tolerance between the two nations at both official and public levels.

Governor Kundi further said a large number of Pakistani pilgrims who visit Iran annually and suggested the need for affordable travel packages, including sea routes or other alternatives, to provide pilgrims with more convenient and cost-effective travel options.

The discussion also covered issues faced by pilgrims from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Dera Ismail Khan.

Consul General Ali Banafsheh Khahe extended an invitation to the Governor to attend the celebrations for the Iranian Revolution, which he accepted.

The Governor also expressed interest in visiting Iran soon, with a focus on fostering economic growth in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and enhancing trade relations between the two countries.

In a gesture of goodwill, Governor Kundi presented the Iranian Consul General with a traditional chadar and cap, along with a souvenir.
