ISLAMABAD, Mar 24 (APP):The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday summoned Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad in person in a petition regarding recovery of the brothers of journalist Ahmed Noorani.
The court expressed dissatisfaction on the report of SHO of the concern area and subsequently ordered police chief to appear in person.
Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas heard the petition of the mother of missing persons. During hearing station house officer (SHO) presented its report and said that police are utilising all resources for recovery of citizens. It has done geofencing and also asked for CDR while the CCTV cameras of nearby were also checked, it said.
The court noted that the police had not given its finding. The counsel of police said that no application is given for registration of FIR.
Justice Inaam remarked that the court is summoning the IG Islamabad to ensure investigation.
The court adjourned hearing of the case till March 26.
